Exhausted, sitting atop the highest mountain in the contiguous United States on August 10, 2006, I realized I just completed the most difficult task in my entire life. At an elevation of 14,505 feet, Mount Whitney was an incredible challenge.

Moments after reaching the top, the storm clouds rolled in and it became imperative we sprint down the narrow switchbacks to reach base camp as quickly as humanly possible. Lightening will end your life as quickly as God created it. Our final time was 13 hours and 54 minutes. I love adventure.

The paths of life, just like the paths we took on our hike, lead to success or danger. We heard stories of hikers slipping on the ice and falling to their death. I prayed they had prepared themselves and their families for this tragedy. Did they have their financial house in order (life insurance, savings, etc.)?

Born in South Bend, Indiana and raised to love the outdoors, I skied and ran track in high school, which developed my competitive hard-working spirit. At age 16, I bought a 1969 Chevy Camaro and rebuilt it inside and out. That hobby turned into a job which paid my way through college.

I graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1985 with a degree in Management Information Systems and Accounting. After taking one course toward my Master's of Business Administration, I put my studies on hold, filled my cherry Oldsmobile 442 with my clothes, and drove to California (every Midwestern farm-girls dream!)

Within two months, I met the man of my dreams. After our marriage in 1987 and birthing four lovely children, my husband still loves me more than life itself. We made a wise choice to raise our children in a Christian home and a Christian school. We are blessed with many things - a loving family, hard-working successful children, superb health, and life insurance protection.

My interest has always been within the insurance industry (having purchased a private policy outside of work in my 20s). My passion is to assist people like you in offering options to help you make the right decisions for yourself which would ultimately provide for your family. Life insurance isn't something you can hold or display on your mantel. It's an invisible and necessary safety net for your family.
